As a evening/weekend worker, I help out everywhere around the facility - front desk, snack bar and bar, while doubling up as a freelancing Social Media Manager.I have developed several important skills that help me in my full-time job: exceptional customer service, great communication and conflict resolution. I also learned bartending and performing other restaurant- and entertainment-specific tasks.As a Social Media Manager, it's my responsibility to build LTA's brand awareness on social media as well as produce promotional materials used both online and in house. I create tournament and league posters, social media announcements, food and drink menus, and other marketing publicity as needed.

As a Digital Media and Advertising Specialist for The Milliken Corporation, my main responsibilities are designing, executing and maintaining organic and paid campaigns on various social media, Google AdWords and Meta Ads. I spend a lot of time with lead generation and business development by reaching out and engaging with potential customers through email (MailChimp) and social media, answering any questions or resolving any issues they might have.The Milliken Corporation owns 8 brands total - itself, Milliken Builders (outdoor living solutions), Trades For Success (non-profit), The Ole Milliken Store (retail and restaurant), Tennessee Tuff Trucks (vintage Ford truck dealership/body shop), Tennessee Tuff Equipment (construction equipment rental), Milliken Farms and Milliken Properties (real estate investing). My job is to plan and create social media graphics and produce content relevant to each of those brands, using their own brand voice and branding. Many of those brands also host monthly and annual events. I play a significant role in event planning and event marketing by producing printed materials, digital advertising and social media outreach.I do some of my work in the field. I travel to our projects in Middle TN to take pictures and shoot videos of concrete, asphalt, masonry, construction equipment and more to later use them on our social media and digital ads. More recently, I have been very involved with Trades For Success. I have been the point of contact for all school counselors and career coaches who would like TFS to speak to their students. I am in charge of setting up public speaking engagements and delivering speeches to classes.

In this role, I'm still handling social media creative and strategic planning, but I have additional responsibilities! I am now also in charge of running social media ads, Meta (Facebook and Instagram) ads in particular. Those responsibilities include designing and picking out the ad graphics, descriptions, calls to action and messaging.

I focused on developing and executing a social media plan for Cambridge in this internship. My daily routine included brainstorming new content ideas to post on Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and LinkedIn, and using Canva to supplement the content with relevant graphics. I also monitored our social media statistics and adjusted the content to better fit the interests of our followers.

Even though it is a part-time position, I have many responsibilities as a Social Media Coordinator. I am responsible for developing and implementing a social media strategy for increasing NEBA's online presence. I create graphics and informational content for our social media platforms, post tournament and event information, monitor questions, comments and engagements for each post.

As a graduate assistant for the SFC Women’s Bowling team, I am in charge of team and individual practices, coaching and guiding the players during tournaments.

I am in charge of leading the official Instagram account for the SFC Women’s Bowling Team. My responsibility is to keep the team and school alumni engaged with the current team. I post personal team and coaching staff updates, pictures and videos from practices and tournaments.

Social 'Dore is a program where a select group of Vanderbilt students, Undergraduate and Graduate, get the opportunity to contribute to Vanderbilt University's official Instagram page. During my time in the program, we were responsible for submitting content, pictures or videos as well as 'stories', to Vanderbilt Communications Department every week. That content could be anything from capturing beautiful places on campus to filming the events that took place on campus. The best pieces would be published on the official VU Instagram page. It was a very unique opportunity for me. As a student-athlete, I did not always get a lot of free time to stay in close touch with campus and its events. This program allowed me to work closely with other students and stay engaged with the campus, at least virtually through the content I submitted to the Social 'Dore program.

I was a Teaching Assistant for the School of Engineering (Department of General Engineering) for 2 years or 4 semesters. My responsibilities included creating and grading weekly quizzes we had in class, grading all assignments and answering any questions students might have. I believe that every semester I built a good connection with the students. They felt comfortable asking me questions and asking for advice. I enjoyed being in this position because I was their peer, but had the power of authority at the same time.

IQTP is a sourcing and talent acquisition firm located downtown Nashville. During my time there, I got to work closely with the members of the Knowledge Management team. They work hard daily to provide the best technology for the team and make sure all the software/applications work smoothly. I got to do a variety of things from organizing company files to doing research for the members of my team. My main project during the internship was conducting a company-wide technology use survey. I interviewed employees of different seniority levels about the applications, technology, and software the company uses. After I collected the employees' feedback, I converted it into numbers and figures in Microsoft Excel to then present it to senior members of the team.At the end of my internship, I also got the opportunity to work with LinkedIn Recruiter and source candidates for a client. I was lucky enough to sit in a month of training for new hires, so I learned some basic recruiting skills.

During my internship with duGard, I learned a variety of skills. First of all, my daily routine was working on short pieces for clients such as writing mass/informational emails, social media posts, and websites. I learned that different clients and different types of content require different language and approach. Secondly, I was able to participate in planning and running an event for one of the clients. One of my fellow interns and I got to write the script for the event host. At the event, we helped behind the scenes: made sure the artists knew what was going on, and when it was their turn, the staff knew what to do next, completed other small errands. On top of that, I ran the client's Instagram account at the time of the event and made sure they had a strong online presence. Finally, I personally worked on event admission statistics. I analyzed how many tickets of each type were purchased, how many were actually used to enter the event, how far in advance or when the tickets were purchased. I used Excel to visually represent information to show when is the best time to advertise the event (when the tickets are more likely to be purchased) and which types of tickets were more popular.
