Hi! My name is Celeste and I'm the Head of distributed LatAm team at DataArt. We are a global software engineering firm with 25 years of history, 6000 teammates worldwide, 400 of whom work in LatAm region: Colombia, Uruguay, Brazil, etc. I take care of our colleagues in LatAm and make sure they feel satisfied and fulfilled working at the company. My career path started in HR and all the way was dedicated to IT. I have a degree in Psychology, and I started in the HR field at Accenture, continued as a recruiter at a regional software factory Lagash Systems, later bought by MercadoLibre. 9 years ago (yes, that's a lot!) I joined DataArt as HR Manager when we were only 18 people (now it's 400). I was a part of the team that grew our location from the very beginning. 2 years ago I transitioned to the role of Head of Remote LatAm location. That's one of the things that keeps me enjoying DataArt for so long — the company allows you to go your very own way depending on your interests and talents. We like to say that we are opportunists — if you see an opportunity you like, go and grab it. I like to talk about recruitment, IT market, career development in IT, and team building. I believe that empathy and sincere interest in a person are the keys to creating an efficient and happy team. I like to feel that my actions help others, and I see myself as a facilitator of a productive working environment for my colleagues. I really like to cook (while drinking a glass of nice wine 😉), visit new places and especially restaurants 😊, spend time with my friends, husband, and of course, my beautiful son Felix. Well, I guess I'm a full-time foodie mom! Being a mom is the most challenging yet happy activity of my entire life.
