Managed a team 15 finance staff with 3 qualified direct reports. Provided financial business support to the Cargo and Customer division, revenue £220m and cost base £460m. This entailed monthly management accounts, budgets, forecasts and project financial management.• Successful completion and presentation of budgets for the division to the Exec board, within a tight 6-week deadline.• Reviewed, evaluated and integrated the US cargo finance function, which led to annual saving of £150k.• Finance lead for pay negations between cabin crew management and Unite Union. Pay offer accepted at 1st ballot and within the company’s financial target.• Built strong working relationships with the Director and their direct reports, ensuring all decisions were financially challenged therefore reducing risk.• Ensured all proposed projects had been financially appraised and challenged before submission to the capex board for approval.• Recruited, developed and coached the team, which led to several internal promotions.• Reduced management accounts timetable from 8 to 3 days, by reviewing processes and procedures.
