Hello! I am Maria. I was born in Manila, Philippines but moved to Calgary, Alberta at a young age. I attended high school at Bishop Carroll and now I am currently attending University of Calgary for a BSc in Psychology. During high school I participated in a few clubs, I worked with the tech theatre team as head of the sound team, hosted an origami class in my Japanese culture club, and travelled to Vancouver with my band where we won gold at the band festival in Whistler. I've previously worked at Providence Care Center as a summer student aiding in recreational activities and programs. I also helped assist in feeding, cleaning and hosting events for the entire building. I worked by nurses, doctors and other fellow students to ensure our residents were given the best possible care. I also have experience in retail working as both a cashier and on the floor customer service, greeting customers, assisting in helping customers find what they are looking for, and general housekeeping and keeping the place tidy.Aside from the fancy experience stuff, I enjoy reading and enjoying music in any way I can in my spare time. I play the guitar, both electric and acoustic, and I also collect vinyl records. I was previously in a band, but I'm looking for opportunities to take my music elsewhere.I've got so much to explore in life and I look forward to any blossoming opportunities!
