After studying History, Politics and International Relations, I worked for 10 years as a journalist for the Greek television network Antenna TV covering international and cultural news. During this time I was frequently presenting the international news section in the channel’s news show while also covering certain cultural events like the premieres of movies in big European cities. In 2016 I decided to take a break and support my family’s move initially to Bulgaria and then to Poland. This allowed me to continue being active by volunteering to the international schools (Angloamerican School of Sofia, American School of Warsaw) my two daughters have been attending. This activity opened up an exciting new world for me in education and for the last 5 years I have been actively engaged in this field. In June 2020 I was elected President of the PTO at the American School of Warsaw and this has been an exceptional experience, leading a team of volunteers and being actively involved in many of the school’s Boards and governance bodies. My communications and journalism background has been a great asset for me during this journey and on top of this I built significant experience in large events management.In 2022 after returning to my country I founded www.homeawayfromhome.gr an intercultural magazine that promotes open expression, encourages the sharing of expertise and ideas that resonate both with the international and local community. International and Greek experts use this platform to promote their thinking and operations while exploring life in Greece.
