I am a passionate, hardworking chemist with 11 years of experience in the chemistry of small organic molecules, in either academia and industry. I’ve started my career in the field of enzymatic and organic synthesis, with a strong focus on method development for purification, analysis and structural elucidation of biologically active molecules by LC-PDA/ELSD/MS, GC-MS, NMR and IR. Later on, I’ve been responsible for the NMR-structure elucidation laboratory at the Pharmazentrum (University of Basel, CH), working on the isolation and structure elucidation of natural products from plants. Since December 2016 I’ve joined Syngenta AG, (Munchwilen, CH) as team leader in the analytical development and product chemistry department, where I am leading a team of 5 analysts. My daily job consists in all analytical activities required to develop, register and commercialize products with herbicidal activity. Alongside to my current position, I am collaborating as reviewer of scientific journals and I am always interested in new scientific innovations.
