I was a Camp Counsellor Intern at English Adventure, a children's summer camp based in Japan. I worked with children will little to no English knowledge and supported them in their language learning through activities such as rock climbing, kayaking, hiking and more. Through this experience, I not only saw dramatic improvement in my Japanese speaking skills, but I also learnt how to communicate effectively and work together as a team to make sure the camp ran smoothly.
