I was recruited from Andrews Technology by this privately-held information technology firm (the largest in the West Coast with $60 Million in revenue): -Re-established the Silicon Valley office and managed daily operations and new business development. -Grew business from $500,000 to $3 million revenue goal by 2001.-Secured the following clients: Sun Microsystems, Netscape Communications, Hitachi Data Systems, Network Associates, and National Semiconductor Corporation.-Selected and placed Unix administrators, system architects, project managers, systems analysts, software testers, C++/JAVA programmers as consultants within client companies.-Screened all consultants prior to placement at client site to ensure maximum compatibility.-Negotiated preferred vendor status, billing rates, and project deliverables.

A colleague from Initiatives Corporation suggested I approach Andrews Technology for a consulting gig during my move to San Francisco in 1998. As a result, I was selected to transition this IT consulting firm from a start-up to a structured workplace with a stable consultant pool. Clients included the Pacific Stock Exchange, Delta Dental, Systems Integration Solutions (SIS), among others. -Developed and implemented the recruitment, selection, and placement processes, including: internal policies, search methods, interviewing guidelines, telephone screenings, personal interviews, interview evaluations, skill-set screenings, reference checks, candidate engagement, background checks, offer packages, and placement recommendations.-Coordinated development of consulting skill set tests. -Managed four direct reports.-Recruited staff from India. -Prepared H-1B Visa applications for international consultants.-Created a marketing brochure and website content to target new clients.-Secured a $350,000 RFP from the City of Los Angeles. The CEO of Initiatives Corporation, an IT consulting firm specializing in quality assurance testing, was a former colleague at Ryder System, Inc. and hired me as a Consultant to Ryder's Integrated Logistics (RIL) division where I:-Performed regression, configuration and gorilla testing and tracked defects using PVCS Tracker. -Developed relationships with project managers resulting in placement of six Initiative consultants. -Represented Initiatives at Ryder’s Preferred Vendor Program monthly meetings.-Developed and coordinated the rollout of RIL's logistic tool training program to 146 logistics engineers and managers in eleven locations across the United States and Canada. This beta trial automated the scheduling of truck routes to increase fuel and time efficiencies.-Saved RIL $750,000 by initiating the renegotiation of a geographic information system contract.-Wrote articles in the ILPS Newsletter to support understanding of the logistics tool. -Measured users’ satisfaction through performance surveys. -Developed RIL executive summary reports.Once the project at RIL was delivered on-time and within budget, I was offered a project at Republic Mortgage Insurance Company (RMIC) in Winston-Salem, NC and successfully wrote test plans for the RMIC software testing team during the reconfiguration of RMIC's IT System.

As a Sr. Policy Analyst in the Policies & Procedures Department, I contributed the following to this worldwide provider of logistics and transportation solutions.-Developed, interpreted, and released policies, procedures, technical documentation, and marketing materials to enhance employee productivity and ensure compliance to corporate standards. -Saved approximately $300,000 by bringing in-house the development of a previously out-sourced operations and marketing manual for 4,500 nationwide dealers.-Wrote a significant portion of the first corporate on-line help feature targeted to 20,000 employees.-Developed training manuals and quick reference guides for in-house software programs.
