I am Maria Mikhail, Egyptian Ophthalmology and Public Health specialist. 35 years old. I am an Infection Control Manager in Fayoum Ophthalmic Hospital since 8 th of July, 2021. I got my M.B.B. Ch from Faculty of Medicine, Fayoum University, Egypt in November 2009 with grade very good with honor degree (Ranking 26). I have field experience in Ophthalmology for 7 years in many universities and general hospitals in Egypt and Saudi Arabia. My subspeciality is oculoplastic surgery. I got my Ophthalmology Diploma in November 2017 from Faculty of Medicine, Beni Suef University, Egypt and got the Master’s degree of Ophthalmology from the same university in July 2021. Moreover, I passed the second part exam of International Council of Ophthalmology (ICO) and preparing to enter the next exam of the third part (Advanced exam) to get the fellowship of ICO which is certified from the Royal college of Edinburgh, UK and by passing this exam I will get the membership of the Royal college. Regarding Public Health specialty, I got the Master’s degree of Public Health (Global Health Security Response Program) from Graduate school of Public Health, Yonsei University, February 2021 (GPA 4.12/4.50), with the Top honor graduate award which is usually given for the outstanding academic performance. I got many courses during my master’s degree curriculum and later after as the IVI vaccinology course, the medical and humanitarian emergencies course from Bloomberg School of Public Health, Johns Hopkins. I am interested in the field of International and global health security as well in Digital health field.
