Provide readjustment counseling to veterans and family members in the Vet Center program.

Collect information about clients using interviews, case loads, and other assessment methods. Provide individual and family therapy for client with a variety of presenting problems to improve interpersonal relationships. Counsel adolescents by providing support and assistance with life transitioning, academic problems and interpersonal difficulties. Provide referral and support services in community resource setting.

Establish working relationships with collaborating Day Cares. Provide mental health consultation and case management. Train day care staff and parent groups.

Handle a high volume of caseloads counseling individuals and family utilizing my bilingual and interpersonal skills. Counsel clients both individually and in group sessions, to assist in overcoming dependencies, adjusting to life, and making changes. Encourage clients to express their feelings and discuss what is happening in their lives, and help them develop insight into themselves and their relationships. Develop and implement treatment plans based on clinical experience and knowledge.

Plan and implement a dynamic, developmentally appropriate home based program for pregnant women, parents, and children. Work with parents to create a family development plan that supports parents in achieving goals. Plan, and implement bi-weekly group socialization with families. Identify social services needs and refer case management issues to Family Support Supervisor. Recruit and enroll families into the Early Head Start program.
