Helping Richmond students stay hydrated, healthy and learning.With kids back in the classroom for the new school year, the focus is on keeping them healthy while they learn. One important way to help is making sure they drink enough water.Healthy Lifestyles Center teamed up with Virginia Foundation for Healthy Youth, American Heart Association and Greater Richmond Fit4Kids to support a new Richmond Public Schools hydration initiative for the 2021-22 school year – Healthy Hydration @ RPS.

• Candidate recruitment and enrollment for clinical research trials. • Identify patients who meet study criteria and develop an enrollment strategy to capture qualified candidates into research trials. • Conducting community outreach as well to identify patients that otherwise wouldn't be found in VCU's patient population. • Create a Case Report Form and meet with the patients to provide the informed consent documents and orient patients to the trial schedule and manage expectations regarding timelines and course of therapy. • Work directly w/Research Nurses, PI's and Data Managers to effectively put patients through the trial.• Case-finding, evaluation & abstraction of source documentation, case report form completion, database use & management, data abstraction & organization for presentation/publication. • Utilize multiple data capture/retrieval systems & interacts with variety of health care delivery systems to identify, track, evaluate, collate, analyze & submit subject data. Data may include but is not limited to paper data, electronic data & biological specimens.• Collaborate closely with clinical research team, which may include Principal Investigator (PI), to ensure that key federal/state/local regulatory requirements are followed; that institutional operational research objectives are met; and those ethical obligations are kept. • Develop, establish and maintain productive relationships with VCU colleagues, all customers and contacts at affiliate sites to achieve essential research outcomes.

Protocol Start Up, Conduct of Research & Project Closeout• Coordinate with Principal Investigator, department, and administration to help ensure that clinical research and related activities are performed in accordance with Federal regulations and sponsoring agency policies and procedures.• Assist the PI in development of materials and tools necessary to appropriately train individuals involved in the conduct of the study around issues related to (but not limited to) protocol requirements, schedule of visits, execution of research plan.• Assist PI in communication of study requirements to all individuals involved in the study. Provide appropriate training and tools for study team members.• Collaborate with PI and institution to respond to any audit findings and implement approved recommendations.Facilitate site selection and site initiation visits, monitoring and auditing visits.• Prepare medical records for review; obtain all necessary reports, ensuring that all materials are accurate and available for the research department, FDA, NCI, and Sponsor auditors.• Prepare other study materials as requested by the PI / Research Director. These study materials include, but are not limited to, the informed enrollment logs, adverse event logs, RECIST grids, and drug accountability logs.• Cooperate with sponsoring agency compliance and monitoring efforts related to human research participant protection and reports instances of noncompliance to the compliance officer.• Provide guidance to lower-level personnel involved in planning, implementation, and evaluation of clinical studies.. Assist in training new personnel.• Review and develop a familiarity with the protocol, e.g., study proceedings and timelines, inclusion and exclusion criteria, confidentiality, privacy protections.• Assure that amended consent forms are appropriately implemented and signed.• Resolve new and existing queries and assure timely completion of Case Report Forms.

Since formal simulation-based-education is new in Pakistan, I am proud of being the only dentist who worked in this capacity in Pakistan. My job responsibilities were to work with the faculties to plan, develop, and carry out simulation-based courses and workshops for UGME and PGME, Nursing, and Dental. I also had the liberty to initiate new things and improve the existing standards.­Course lead of Clinical Simulation Educator Programme. Transformed it from an onsite to an online program. Worked on developing an innovative approach to the asynchronous discussion forums.Organized first-ever SonoGames not only in AKUH but also in Pakistan for the radiology residents and interns. ­Played a pivotal role in facilitating the achievement of Provisional Accreditation with SSiH.Established a medical emergency course that included a lecture and simulation component into ASDH's curriculum.Helped the ASDH Programme flourished during National Dental Hygiene Month and World Oral Health Day celebrations.­Worked diligently with AKU’s dental section to create state of the art continuing dental education courses. Took charge of managing a continuing education program and organized a lecture on ‘Regenerative Endodontics’.Introduced Room of Errors – for celebrating Healthcare Simulation week 2019, which helped the participants to be more observant of hazards in the home and to develop situational awareness. Organized ‘Code orange’ a two-day workshop formulated to allow healthcare professionals to deal with mass casualties. Worked on Document Base Management for storing and retrieving CIMEs data, Objective Structured Clinical Examinations OSCE using Bline, and Built an In-house Mid-fidelity – Blood flow Pump, to observe the thrill of a patient with an AV graft on an IV arm.Designed a standardized CIME’s evaluation form using the theory of Self-Efficacy. This form is being used to evaluate all the workshops and courses held at CIME.

During this course, I was able to ascertain the proper protocols being followed in Germany, while I developed a deeper understanding of Stem cells and regenerative medicine as well as its application in healing and for cosmetic purposes.
