I conduct unscripted, syllabus based, oral examinations for candidates who wish to complete their BCS Diploma in Business Analysis. I mentor Examiners to ensure standards and quality is maintained.

Assignment 1: Defining and establishing the data sources to support performance measurement against the 2030 strategy. Assignment 2: Requirements elicitation and analysis required to enable the automation of the SSR calculation. Production of the Business Requirements Document and supporting Process Models.

Lead BA on a telephony replacement programme. The programme of works included the upgrade of existing Verint and Sabio solutions as well as working with an external third party (Natilik) to design and implement a completely new international Cisco telecommunication solution. My assignment covered all aspects of the project lifecycle, with a focus on the delivery of new solutions for call recording and call tagging, telephony integration, non-call centre telephony (known as Enterprise Voice) and the agent desktop design.

Worked within the Gas Transmission Richmond Programme to deliver step change in Asset Management. The Programme followed the Scaled Agile Framework, providing inception to closure experience of using the SAFe approach, tools and methodologies. The assignment included the research and development of a Business Case to present options for overhauling the Authorisations process that underpins the onsite Permitary solution. The development of BRD for system integration of the Competency Management System MyKnow by Cognisco and Third Party solution negotiations. Requirement Engineering, Solution Design and Testing of two separate Tableau Dashboards relating to Competency Management and Operational Productivity. Delivered Post Programme support to the BAU Competency and Training Teams to embed and enhance the business change.

Worked on a series of projects and initiatives including, IDD (Insurance Distribution Directive), GDPR, War on Complaints, the creation of an RFI for a new Recruitment System and the Business Intelligence Team to define reporting requirements for a new CRM (PEGA) solution. Established a Business Analysis Community of Practice, motivating and mentoring the team to expand capabilities and skills.

Lead BA on a Project focused on Anti Money Laundering regulations and internal policy. The assignment included completing Impact Assessments, Gap Analysis, Requirement Engineering and co-ordinating the efforts of a divisional sub-team within the project.

First assignment, to develop and implement a reporting solution to monitor operational activities ensuring compliance with FCA Regulations relating to overlapping and duplicate cover. The second, to develop a data migration tool to identify, transform and transfer data from the current core policy management system to PEGA. The assignments included, Requirements Engineering using a combination of Agile and industry standard techniques, production of a Functional Specification, development of a Data Mapping Matrix and data analysis to identify target populations and support data cleansing activities.

To pilot & measure impacts of new business processes, business rules and systems in the non-regulated complaints function. To develop a full roll-out plan, implementing the proven enhancements nationally, c.2000 users.

The assignment included the design and development of the To-Be Business Processes for the regulatory complaints function, along with the Business Requirements Specification for the upgrade to the associated systems. System Design, Risk/Controls definition and End User Training were also part of this assignment which encompassed the full project lifecycle.

Successfully completed three assignments, two in the Issuing side of the business, the other in Merchant and Consumer Retail. The first assignment was to a project utilising a Fast Track/Agile approach to systems development to deliver a complete Two Way SMS solution. I lead business stakeholders through the delivery cycle, defining the business need and shaping the solution. The second assignment involved defining requirements and gaining stakeholder endorsement for improvements to the Online Barclaycard Application solution and the definition and testing of a tactical solution. The third assignment involved designing To-Be business processes for a new retail proposition.

Business Analysis assignments successfully completed on three separate projects. The first assignment focused on the Acquiring side of the business and included gathering the initial requirements and evaluating high level designs for a new Point of Sale device. The second assignment, also in Acquiring, involved mapping the As-Is and To-Be business processes across the business function to support Merchants with PoS devices. The third assignment, on the Issuing side of the business, included supporting a Website focused based project during the Build, Test and Implementation stages.

Late 2008 - 1 August 2010I specialised in Procurement related elements of SAP (SRM & ECC) within a company wide SAP Programme. Providing business analysis to understand the business requirements for procurement related activities using SAP and the impact of adopting a “vanilla” implementation of the software supported by “best practice” business processes.

In addition to project assignments, I responded to “Invitations to Tender” on behalf of Aseriti and gave a number of system demonstrations to other external companies who expressed an interest in our billing solution - CIS Open Vision.
