Maria Hellström is an entrepreneur with a strong drive and a passion for hairdressing and sustainability. Her vision is to be a leading part in changing the hairindustry towards a more healthy and sustainable place. Sustainable with fokus on ✔️the working enviroment for hairdressers✔️the safety for clients conserning exposure of harmful chemicals ✔️the enviromentally damage in natureWith knowledge, curiosity and a strong network anything is possible. She has been running her own business in different forms since 1996 and in 2011 she opened her first hair salon “Hairligt på Ekerö”. From start she have always had a strong enviromental focus and as her knowledge in that section grew she decided ( in 2016 ) to start a certified green salon - GREEN HEADS - on Rörstrandsgatan in Stockholm. The certification Green Salon is a proof that the salon is not handling any harmful chemicals that can be allergenic, endocrine disruptive or environmental harmful. The certification is based on research. Today Green Heads has grown into two salons with a total of 11 employees and many clients who likes to make a healthy and sustainable choise when going to the hairdresser.Maria holds lecture in sustainable hairdressing, offers practical courses for hairdressers and are looking for partners to join GREEN HEADS to make green hairdressing grow toghether.
