The “Faces of Learning” (FOL) project at San Jose State University is led by researchers Dr. Heather Lattimer Phd. and Dr. Melinda Chimet Phd. FOL is focussed on the specific educational needs of first Generation College Students studying at secondary educational institutions. I worked as a consultant with FOL support from the early stages of their project as they sought to incorporate art making into the way they gathered data for the project and continued to support the project as they hired and trained researchers at San Jose State University. Created the art-based training materials for researchersLed trainings at San Jose State University instructing a team of co-researchers on the using art as a means of data collection and developing their own art practice

Starting July of 2019 I was the lead for the Museum of Photographic Art’s (MOPA) Visitor Engagement Department . Our team practiced accessible and inclusive educational programming offered to the general public in the MOPA galleries daily. I developed and trained all Visitor Enagement techniques using Visual Thinking Strategies. . Trained & led a team of six museum educators (Visitor Engagement Specialists) Created inquiry-based gallery education strategies and curriculum Developed programs and interactive engagement installationsCreated bilingual (Spanish/English) photography curriculum for High School, Middle School, and Elementary School aged children Created curriculum for tours and workshops that engaged with the work on exhibition at MOPA and the work in MOPA’s collection Created and taught all MOPA’s online youth photography classes on the Streamable Learning Platform: Spring 2018 - Summer 2019 Developed a partnership between MOPA and Vallecitos School District (Rural San Diego) Created curriculum and taught MOPA’s Spring camps and Summer camps : Spring 2018- Spring 2020Lead on Family Programs Created family friendly drop in programs for deepening family engagement with MOPA’s exhibitions Creating & facilitated family friendly activities in MOPA’s galleries
