With COVID-19 impacting Africa's education systems, I am also looking forward to undertake work on documenting evidences in regards to strategies on addressing gender issues in the curriculum (teaching and learning materials, in particular); mechanisms that ensure gender-sensitive teaching and learning in refugee communities; and triggers that boost Girls and Women's competencies and interest in STEM and TVET in Africa. All these, in light of the implementation of the AU/CIEFFA's new Strategic Plan and on-going reforms in the sector on the continent, and anticipated changes in regards to use of digital technology as hybrid teaching and learning is being considered; and continental qualifications framework, as the continent prepares to open its borders on free movement of people and labour.
