Acting as a project manager in a team assigned with the challenging task of leading a structural and all-encompassing transformation process that will modernise and optimise the company's digital and physical workflows, through innovative solutions and tailor-made designs.

Responsible for strategy design, project planning and implementation, daily operations, investment analysis and modelling, profitability and patient satisfaction for a portfolio of healthcare units and service lines.Achievements:- Facilitation of the continuous 2-digit growth of a mature healhcare unit, with revenues increasing by 13,3% in 2023 and comfortably expected to finish the year well above the 6M € figure;- Management of several service lines and specialities in the group's biggest hospital, which generated over ~40M € in revenues;- Improvement of the surgery scheduling process, resulting in an increase in the advance of surgery confirmation calls, from 53h to 72h;- Reduction of the time spent in the A&E's observation room by patients that require hospitalisation from 3,2 days to 0,6 days;- Increase in the percentage of ambulatory surgeries in selected specialties by 10-30p.p., which resulted in a reduction of the average length of stay by 1,2 days for surgical patients;- Design and implementation of the first automatic bed-management tool used in a 250-bed and 75 year-old hospital;- Transference of 150 hospitalised - including ICU - patients in half a day, between two hospitals, and without a single incident;- Reduction in the number of surgery cancellations from 22% to 14%, in only 3 months, allowing for an average annual increase in revenues of 400k€ (+4,3%), through the application of the Lean Six Sigma methodology;- Improvement of the surgery scheduling process, resulting in an increase in the advance of surgery confirmation calls, from 53h to 72h.

Provision of strategic management advisory services, integrated in the Infrastructure, Government & Healthcare unit, as well as in the Climate Change & Sustainability practice.Activities:- Assist in the definition of a project's approach and in the planning activities that will guide it;- Conduct research on key issues identified by our clients, being them from the private or public sector;- Deconstruct the problems pointed out by investigating the context in which they manifest themselves, and by assessing the ways and the extent to which the client's performance is impacted by the former;- Identify and involve stakeholders that can have a valuable contribution to increasing the level of understanding of the main issues to be addressed;- Evaluate and monitor the implementation of public programmes or business strategies;- Apply impact measurement tools, adapt and adopt the most adequate analytical frameworks and select key performance indicators;- Prepare qualitative and quantitative analysis, and extract insights from the information gathered;- Identify bottlenecks and opportunities for improvement in a broad set of sectors, industries and geographies, making use innovative and holistic strategic-thinking skills;- (Re)design organisational and logistic processes, restructure public programmes’ operating and management models;- Elaborate briefing documents, policy, strategic development and action plans, press releases and other outputs for either external or internal communication purposes;- Present and discuss the results obtained and the documents prepared to internal or external clients;- Assist colleagues higher in the hierarchy in the pursuit for commercial opportunities by writing proposals for potential clients, assessing opportunities in new markets, and investigating possible collaborations between the Portuguese or the Angolan offices and other firms within the KPMG network.

Provision of direct assistance to the Research Director on the topics of economic development, internationalisation and entrepreneurship.Activities:- Research on the measures adopted by other countries to promote business development, internationalization and exports;- Prepare, operate and contribute the optimisation of the database that would work as the information repository, to be consulted by policy-makers and business support agencies equally.
