My professional background is in the area of mathematics, with concentration in computational mathematics and data science. I have also completed a TEFL course and an online psychology course by Sant José State University. I have volunteered in children’s camps for several years and have been working with kids and adults for more than ten. This has helped me practice empathy, patience, approachability and, in general, a friendly presence. My classes are based on developing the communicative capacity and oral comprehension through well organized, varied, and dynamic conversations. I plan classes both individually and in small groups, always adapting the content to the needs and level of my students.I have a wide variety of material and activities that fit all levels and objectives. All of my classes end with a review of everything seen during the class in order to ensure the understanding and ability of the student to use the content in their daily lives. Having taught English and maths to various classmates while I was in the university, I have thus become familiar with the difficulties a student may encounter while studying and a variety of ways to overcome them. I have also practiced how to create a safe environment that makes the student eager to question everything without having fear of being mocked or ridiculed.My experience as a teacher has given me good organizational skills, as I have been planning all of my classes by myself, adjusting them to the personal needs of every individual student so that they have the ultimate learning experience. Working with companies has kept me involved in lots of email correspondence with clients, sorting out invoices and guiding them through several processes. Being a language data analyst has taught me flexibility in time management, patience, office etiquette, and a new word every day :)
