Elula is an Australian owned, AI-software company delivering products across the financial services sector.Elula’s flagship products, Sticky and Nudge specialise in customer retention and customer acquisition. Our products are used across banks in Australia to help reduce run-off and drive growth across the home loan portfolio.Sticky predicts customers that are most likely to churn from their bank within the next 3-months. It ranks the customer base from the most sticky through to least sticky predicting which customers are going to either re-finance with a competitor or sell their property and re-purchase elsewhere. It uses explainable-AI to deliver the bank personalised customers conversations – at scale enabling them to have the right conversation, with the right customer at the right time in their life.Nudge delivers new lending opportunities and helps banks quickly grow their loan portfolio and deliver on their growth strategy. Nudge predicts which customers are most likely to apply for new lending in the next 6 months and provides the bank the opportunity to pro-actively engage with their customers and provide a better service and experience.

In this role, I developed the short-term rental pricing framework and then built the pricing tool used by teams across the business. The initial stage involved analysis and modelling of complex data to build out the key KPIs of success and getting buy-in from the leadership team. A data pipeline was built in Python and SQL with the user interface visualised in Tableau.Having developed a deep understanding of the behaviour of our customers, I also drove success on retention strategies, marketing campaigns and improved profitability across the business.

Developed risk framework around market and trading risk in high frequency derivative trading space. Risk modelling (Var, scenario analysis, exposure calculations). Sliced and diced and cleaned data to create tactical tools using python and vba. Started the China market and trading risk team in our satellite office in Shanghai. Cross trained team members in the Amsterdam office.
