As an immunologist and biomedical scientist, I hold a degree in medicine (Clinical Immunologist, M.D.). Following my graduation from Kharkiv National Medical University in 2016, I completed a clinical internship at Kherson Regional Clinical Hospital. My passion for immunology, particularly immuno-oncology and systemic autoimmune diseases, led me back to Kharkiv in 2018, where I pursued a post-graduate specialization in Clinical Immunology while serving as a Scientific Officer at the Grigoriev Institute for Medical Radiology and Oncology (GIMRO). During my tenure at GIMRO, I contributed to a research project focused on understanding the pathogenesis of immunoneuroendocrine disorders in endometrial and breast cancer patients undergoing surgical and radiation treatment.Recently, in 2021, GIMRO partnered with the UK Health Security Agency (UKHSA) to investigate the transcriptional changes in the skin of cancer patients before and after radiation therapy. I was responsible for designing the clinical study, coordinating the legal and administrative aspects, collecting biological samples and medical data, conducting scientific writing, and performing immunology gene expression profiling.Unfortunately, on February 2022, due to the beginning of the massive scale of russian aggression, the project was stopped and I had to leave Kharkiv. In 2023 I won a grant from the Multidisciplinary European Low Dose Initiative and joined Cancer Mechanisms and Biomarkers Group at the UK Health Security Agency.My goal is to pursue translational medicine in molecular immunology, immuno-oncology, and radiobiology. I am particularly passionate about improving radiotoxicity prevention and clinical outcomes in cancer patients receiving radiation treatment and those injured in case of a massive-scale radiation incident.
