Facilitator for PIQE (Parent Institute for Quality Education). Leading groups for Spanish-speaking parents to help them to understand how the Public School System works and explain the steps their children need to follow to graduate from HS and attend College.

Providing Spanish/English language interpretation and translation in ARD (Admission,Revision and Dismissal) meetings. ARDs are attended by Special Education specialists, school counselors, assistant to the director and parents. Subjects included speech evaluation assessments, autism, ADHD, behavior intervention plan, psychological evaluations, language assessments, TESK,TASK, STAAR, accommodations and modification to the curriculum.Simultaneous Interpretation at District Information Events: college information, sessions on curriculum, GT programs, career orientation.Conducting bilingual tests for speech assessment evaluations to determine the needs of a child to qualify for Bilingual Special Education Services under District guidelines.
