I have worked in residential care since 1984. I have worked my way from support worker to management. I have worked with most client groups but mainly with adults with learning disabilities and/or mental health issues. Also worked with many additional diagnosis's. I feel very strongly about supporting and enabling people, albeit service users or staff members to work to their own individual potential. In their own time. I am committed to providing a high standard of care as 'the norm' and working with staff to see that this is the only way forward. Each individual has to be at the centre of their own care and this must be respected at all times.I have throughout my time, gained skills along the way, and feel confident in providing a very good level of service and get the best out of most individuals, and staff teams. I am committed to good open and honest communication at all levels.I have now left my position as a bank inspector with CQC... but only because with the new way of inspecting and allocating inspections does not fit my day to day role as a manager.
