Coordinate and evaluate the delivery of City of San Antonio (COSA) services and programs to improve quality of life and address systemic socio-economic factors that contribute to criminal behavior. Enhance the availability, utility, and transparency of public safety data by overseeing a team of data science subject matter experts. Augment the inclusion of public safety strategies and data within all COSA departments to produce more holistic public safety strategies for San Antonio residents and visitors. Research and apply for grants to create or strengthen public safety services.

Advised SAPD Chief of Police and senior leadership on data and technology utility and managed public safety projects to identify, monitor, and improve key performance indicators for SAPD. Conducted analysis of crime and performance metrics to identify areas for improvements, trends, and key stats necessary to attenuate crime and bolster efficiency at both unit and department level echelon. Liaised with COSA departments and academic partners to develop and support public safety projects, research, and studies to improve public safety conditions and community safety programs and services in San Antonio.

Supervised 17 employees and daily operations in the Identification (ID) Office that consisted of processing all SAPD arrests and fingerprint cards, processing SAPD and external jurisdiction latent fingerprint evidence from crime scenes, updating criminal histories, and overseeing the public ID Office window and register. Improved operational efficiency and effectiveness via input-output analysis, reorganization of resources, and prioritization of tasks. Coordinated all contracts for major vendor supplied technology and specialized equipment involving both civilian and government stakeholders. Generated tools and documents to preserve continuity and facilitate standardization, such as digitization, database creation, and system management.

Managed a diverse team of analysts that produced threat intelligence products and briefings for senior U.S. Forces Afghanistan leaders. Guided the development of analytical products that met or exceeded the requirements of military customers. Developed and maintained highly productive relationships with team members, customers, and other intelligence organizations. Utilized innovative software and methodologies to conduct comprehensive link analysis, spatial mapping, pattern and trend analysis, and to supplement high value target packets. Conducted extensive research that included an analysis of longitudinal data that informed senior government and military officials on regional terrorist tactics, techniques, and procedures.

Created NTM-A threat stream analysis products and briefings for NTM-A Commander and senior staff, which provided situational awareness of the battlefield to protect lives and assets. Researched and created strategic-level analytical products in response to requests for information (RFIs) from the NTM-A Commander and his staff. Maintained and updated the CJ2 SharePoint site that provided a one-stop shop for all intelligence related information and products. Conducted weekly meetings with NTM-A Commander to provide strategic and tactical insight on critical issues and events in Afghanistan and the surrounding region to inform decision making.

Received, organized, analyzed, and disseminated current intelligence on significant activities and events. Created intelligence products for consumers within the Brigade and Division headquarters in support of tactical exercises to ensure unit combat readiness. Assisted in the creation of Brigade Command Post of the Future standard operating procedures. Conducted Intelligence Preparation of the Battlefield (IPB), Battle Damage Assessment, and Enemy Organization/Order of Battle products. Provided intelligence briefs on Battalion security management, intelligence assets, and intelligence products.

Researched, wrote, and peer-reviewed Readbook articles and Intelligence headlines that informed ISAF decision making on a daily basis. Maintained key leader profiles on the Afghan Ministry of the Interior (MoI) and Ministry of Defense (MoD) personnel in direct support of NTM-A & CSTC-A Key Leader Engagements and managed content on CJ2 SharePoint websites. Briefed senior leadership and Intelligence Director daily on high-profile events ensuring situational awareness of the battlefield. Provided Kabul Threat Report to senior ministerial advisors; maintained strong interpersonal relationships with MOI/MOD advisors to gain atmospherics and provide RFI support.
