I have spent the last 2 years as a Laidlaw scholar. In the first year of the project I conducted a research project with the nanophotonics team here at the University of St. Andrews. In the second part of my project (running this summer), I have planned a series of physics/maths classes to open access to physics.

I designed and conducted a widening-access to physics project, with support from a charity, inline with my desire to make physics accessible to all. Implementing SMART (Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Relevant, Time-bound) project design, leading to efficient execution and high client satisfaction. Managed project budgets effectively, implementing cost-minimisation strategies.

As the first part of the prestigious Laidlaw Scholarship I completed this research project. Through advanced self-directed learning confirmed utility of homebuilt LUA & Python software for modelling. Produced a polished report emphasising the strengths and weaknesses of my project.
