Born and brought up in Delhi, a city where past meets present, I have always been inspired by its rich blend of cultures and history. Delhi is not a city, it’s an emotion — a melting pot of diverse cultures, rich histories, varied languages and dialects, culinary traditions, artistic expressions and architectural styles. As an intern at ANLA, I was exposed to the nuances of conservation and gained on-site experience, thus developing skills in project management, communication, problem-solving, and teamwork. My engagement with Nirman Consultants Pvt. Ltd. honed my organisational skills, time management, and efficiency.My deep-rooted connection to Delhi led me to pursue a Master’s in Architectural Conservation at S.P.A. Delhi, providing a fresh perspective on diverse places, enhancing my understanding of heritage beyond the built environment, and honing my analytical and research skills. Currently, as part of MAATI in Bengaluru, I engage in research, design, documentation and content creation, thriving in an environment that fosters curiosity and passion for heritage and culture.

This endeavor was a collaborative effort, with three minds converging to conceive the 'Saptahik Bazar.' This concept drew inspiration from India's rich tradition of weekly community markets, known as 'sabzi Mandi.'The 'Saptahik Bazar' was envisioned as a portable prototype, ingeniously utilizing no more than four shipping containers. Its primary aim was to reimagine the conventional 'sabzi Mandi,' which often serves as a hub for local commerce in India. The goal was to design a mobile prototype capable of easy transportation and adaptable to various configurations, be it navigating narrow urban lanes, wide thoroughfares, or open field markets.Recognizing the immense potential of the 'sabzi mandi' as a public space for fostering local businesses, 'Saptahik Bazar' was meticulously crafted to support mobility and scalability in response to changing demographics and the availability of space. This innovative concept aimed to breathe new life into the traditional marketplace, offering a versatile and sustainable solution for both vendors and the communities they serve.
