Responsibilities as Chief Financial Officer with direct report to the CEO and board of Direction. Among the main activities developed are the following:• Registry entries, control the payments and receives, control clients and suppliers accounts; define and control the invoice issue; accounting services supervision and coordination;• Define and control the cash flows plans; P&L analysis;• Define the annual budgets of the different projects, monthly and trimestral control the budgets, ensuring financial and operational business analysis (and identify deviations), in line with the internal procedures;• Report to managers their performance, budget deviation analysis, and future goals;• Reports to funders and donors;• Address strategic business issues; • Development and implementation of performance monitoring tools such as Balance Score Card.

MIES, the 1st project worldwide to map the Innovation and Social Entrepreneurship initiatives existent within an entire country and disseminate the knowledge created. 134 social innovations mapped in the North, Center and Alentejo Portuguese Regions, by using a methodology which closely involves local communities (ES+ methodology). Among the main activities developed are the following:• Project management (financial and human resources, communication, co-promoters, funding entities);• Leadership of two teams, in diferente locations (Cascais&Oporto);• Mapping in Portugal 134 initiatives of innovation and social entrepreneurship. Presence and phone interviews near the main sector actors, in the field of social support, education, health, environment, among others (organisations, donors/funders, public sector, universities). Evaluation of 4.132 projects subject to telephone interviews (identified in the presence interviews by locals as potential social entrepreneurship initiatives), and evaluation of 460 initiatives that passed to the level of detailed questioner phase;• Realization of the final evaluation meetings with the Academic Counsel composed by academicals experts in the field of social entrepreneurship lecturing at INSEAD, Nova School of Business and Economics, University of Lancaster, University College London, AESE, Coimbra University; • Development of the operational strategy project implementation, at a national level, and support in the development of the research ES+ methodology basis to the project;• Meetings with funding entities (Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation, EDP Foundation, QREN) and steering committee meetings with co-promoters (IPAV), and prepare physical and financial execution reports;• Support in the creation of online tool that includes interactive map with the chosen projects, video production, book, facebook page management, and the organisation of the final event;• Project representation and results dissimilation sessions.

As a Senior Consultant in R&D and Government Incentives was responsible for the development, monitoring and follow-up of investment projects object of co-funding (tax and/or financial incentives). The investment projects comprised Production/Operational, R&D and/or Professional Qualification domains. Among the main activities are the following:• Preparation and monitoring of applications for co-funding near the Portuguese national institutions (QREN, AdI, PRODER, POPH, AICEP, IAPMEI, Portuguese Tourism Institution) and the European Union (7thFP, TEN-T, EIB), in several programmes and incentives regimes;• Co-funding opportunities procurement (fiscal and financial incentives);• Support in the investment project conception, development and monitoring;• Preparation of strategic business plans, viability studies and project reports ( in Portuguese and in English);• Financial modelling/economical-financial projections, and impact analysis of an investment project on the company performance;• Socio-economic impact analysis;• Communication and conducting meetings with clients and public state organs;• Leadership of teams, management and planning of multiple and simultaneous works.Experience and competencies developed in working with, both, private and public entities, within a wide range of economic sectors such as energy, transportation, public education, industry (i.e. food, pharmaceutical, cork), tourism, agro-forestry, information and technologies, among others. Within the main investment projects and grants obtainment I was involved, one can distinguish:• High Speed Railway in Portugal;• The implementation in Moura, Portugal, of the world's largest photovoltaic power plant (at that time), by Amper Central Solar;• EDP Distribuição - Energia, R&D investment projects (i.e. Inovgrid);• Nestlé Portugal investments in a new water plant, productive development of the existing plants in Portugal, and also R&D investment projects.
