I have been responsible for both, strategic Communication counsel and support for corporate-wide internal communications activities as well as strategic development of public engagement in support of the Peel Public Works wastewater team . This includes, but is not limited too: - support for employee engagement activities - developing a communication strategy to launch updated corporate values and mission statement- strategic communication support for large-scale capital works projects- Multi-channel campaigns to support public awareness and engagement

Responsible for enhancing corporate and departmental objectives by providing strategic communications counsel and tactical support for internal clients. Key responsibilities include; public & media relations, community relations, resource development and internal communications.

Managed the Corporate Communications team of four. Responsible for departmental budget, creation and execution of strategic communications plans, oversaw planning and execution of corporate special events. Assumed role of editor of internal newsletter and as corporate media spokesperson for the Niagara area.Key Accomplishments:• Special events management for such events as the CTFS Auction Gala, which raised $350,000 for local charities. • Re-launch of employee newsletter, delivering corporate, Human Resources and internal marketing messages to employees, helping to foster a positive corporate culture. • Developed and executed change management communication strategy for major change initiatives. • Communicated major business initiatives and corporate strategy to employees to obtain buy-in and contribute to improved employee engagement.• Member of CTFS’ Emergency Response Team.

Created and executed strategic communications plans, planned and executed corporate special events, from cradle-to-grave, with budgets ranging from $50K to $80K. Wrote corporate articles, presentations, speeches, memos and news releases.
