I often find myself asking, when did my fascination around media begin? I have always been told that I am very talkative and it all started when I was just a toddler. I always had a keen interest in the conversations of the “grown-ups” at family gatherings. I am certain I did not understand the majority of what was discussed at the time, but that did not prevent me from observing my surroundings.I happen to be born and raised in Athens, Greece. All my admiration for history and culture derives from a humble walk around the centre of the city. The simplicity of the ancient ruins, combined with the thrilling myths, can only remind us how humanity has always been united and fascinated by compelling storytelling.Gratitude is the word that would describe most accurately my academic years. Gratitude for my professors, for their open-mindedness. But most of all, gratitude for giving me the opportunity to an exchange semester at the University of Vienna in 2022, through the Erasmus+ program. From the classicality of the ancient Greek sculptures to the commanding Gothic structures and baroque paintings, I saw myself finding the thin line where I could fit in.Returning from Vienna back to Athens was a challenging transition. Thankfully, with the help of my internship at the Hellenic Broadcasting Corporation (ERT) in August of 2022, I integrated into the media industry and had the pleasure of meeting influential media experts, who were open to help me in this new chapter. After my three-month internship was completed, I moved on to Antenna Group in March 2023 to work as a full-time journalist at the “Formula 1 Show” production. Starting as an intern at ERT, now I can say that I am the main commentator of the female one-seater series, F1 Academy, and the new kids’ program, F1 Kids, in Greece, while commentating on Formula 1 sessions and Eurocup-3 races.Throughout my time there, I have realized the responsibility that a person in the media holds, especially as a woman in a male-dominated industry, no matter the size or the age of the audience. Despite the medium, it remains a platform for marginalized voices to be heard, providing a space for diversity and inclusion in the public sphere. This is exactly what I wish to achieve through my journey in motorsports.
