The Centre for Peaceful SolutionsFrom an initial concept I initiated, developed and implemented a charity devoted to changing attitudes to conflict. From 2007 to 2010 the project received 3 years funding from the UK Treasury to develop a model of mediation for violent crime working in an area of London known for knife and gun crime and high levels of poverty and social deprivation using the communications model I developed called The Dialogue Road Map. Since 2010 we have worked in prisons, schools and communities sharing the Dialogue Road Map to improve people's lives. What began as a model for resolving violent disputes has developed into a way of communicating which has applications in all areas of our life. Whether personally as a parent, spouse or carer or professionally as a manager, leader, co-worker or service provider or collectively as an organisation, it is not unusual to find that the words we use do not get the responses or outcomes we are seeking. Our charity work empowers people who are hard to reach, marginalised or excluded to develop the skills to become self-sufficient in their communication and educates agencies and professionals in communicating with people when there is a power imbalance. Our fee based work provides the know-how to harvest the best possible outcomes from difficult situations using the power of dialogue in professional or personal settings.

The Dialogue Road Map is a method of communication which helps us to connect with ourselves and others using compassion and empathy. It is most useful when individuals and groups are struggling to communicate without escalation. Applications include violence reduction, conflict and dispute resolution, restorative justice, mediation, facilitation, interpersonal communication, personal development, organisational and group dynamics, professional and statutory agency communication with service users, decision making and peacemaking.

Wherever change is needed, I seek to create the conditions in which change can take place. Whether this is an individual in crisis, a family falling apart, a business deal gone wrong or where there is an appetite for growth and development, I apply my skills accordingly either as a mediator, a counsellor, a coach, a mentor, a trainer or a speaker. I have many years of experience and am extremely adept and understanding and recognising the most appropriate course of action. My style is direct and challenging yet also compassionate and empathetic.
