I am an aspiring construction project manager within the commercial, residential, arts and culture sector. As a previous architecture student, I have not only been able to design but I have also learnt about multiple projects involving the sectors I previously listed above and they have always peaked my interest. In addition to this, from designing multiple buildings as a result of university projects, I have developed the ability to thoroughly research what is required for a project, draw and read architectural drawings, develop an adequate understanding of technical/construction details, environmental strategy and costing. I am also very capable of using Adobe creative software, 3D modelling software such as SketchUp and AutoCAD. Furthermore, engaging in group projects/discussions, nurtured my leadership, management and interpersonal skills.I have worked in many sales and hospitality (FOH) roles that have required me to serve and meet the needs of the consumers; following the service standards that each company has set. Therefore, I understand the importance of being the first point of contact for clients and how critical my role is as a representative of the company. I acquired effective business communication skills from working as an assistant at a architecture and planning consultancy; where I was required to interact with clients over the phone and in person so I am certain that I will be able to maintain a friendly and welcoming disposition as well as clearly convey and receive information.
