• Established framework for journalism fellowship program between Novosibirsk and Minneapolis. • Coordinating editorial collaboration between American and Russian fellows

Managed the pilot of a unique initiative to bring journalists from Russia and the US together to collaborate on stories of interest to audiences in both countries.

• Led a team of specialist journalists producing over 150 hours of original journalism a year broadcast on four different BBC radio networks and Online. • Launched seven new programme strands including BBC Radio 4’s international reportage series Crossing Continents which has been recognised by the Financial Times as a “BBC crown jewel”. • Established co-production relationships with broadcasters and institutions around the world.

• Launched new weekly radio magazine show about the United States from the BBC’s Washington bureau with a local production team new to the BBC.

• Launched Radio Current Affairs’ new multi-platform team of three producers whose brief is to spread the journalism of the wider department (of 80 journalists) across the BBC on video and online as well as in audio form thereby reaching new and varied audiences.

• Launched the Americas File (1997) and Asia File (1996) for Radio 4 and Euronews (the first daily radio show about Europe for a domestic British audience) for Radio 5 Live (1994). Three programmes and three different production teams for two very different radio networks.
