Co-founded Butter Lane (revenue of $1 million plus), an artisanal bakery and baking class business in Manhattan’s East Village and Park Slope, Brooklyn, with two partners.• Responsible for marketing, e-commerce, PR and social media. Butter Lane was the first cupcake shop in NYC to offer online ordering and same-day delivery and the only one to offer in-store baking classes.• Pioneered use of emerging digital media to promote Butter Lane products and classes. Regularly sought by Google, Foursquare, Yelp, Seamless and others as digitally experienced small business partner. Was panelist for Social Media Week, New York Times Small Business Summit, PR News Social Media Measurement Conference, National Restaurant Association’s annual NRA Show and similar events. • Led creation of e-commerce website using Joomla and Magento. With developer, transitioned site to Word Press format in 2013, integrated use of Woo Commerce and Event Espresso among other plugins. • Sold Butter Lane store operations through licensing agreement in July 2014.
