My professional career started as biologist and now I have several years of experience in a university hospital setting. After my studies in biology, and then the post-graduate specialization in Clinical Pathology at the University "Sapienza" of Rome, I realized that to improve my scientific awareness, I had to spend time and energy to achieve the purpose of transferring this knowledge from benchside to the people. So, time after time, my attention has moved from the lab to the spread of scientific data, and I gradually improved my skills as a medical writer for my current research group. At present, I am author or co-author of 75 scientific published papers (Scopus h-index: 20). Finally, given my high English proficiency gained through a period of study in the United States, and three years spent in Amsterdam, I decided that my established interest in science could meet my comparable and enduring passion for James Joyce. Thus, 9 years ago I started collaborating as a scientific translator and proofreader for some translation agencies in Italy and abroad. My predominant fields are science, medicine, pharmaceutical chemistry, and nutrition science, but I also had the chance to deal with other topics for a larger non-medical audience.
