Created and developed all marketing and promotional materials, with special consideration to industry needs through deep personal knowledge of the hospice care industry. Independently created advertising campaigns and print and digital materials, including brochures, posters, booklets, note pads, invitations and letterhead. Special attention paid to the delicacy of subject matter, and non-profit standing. Responsible for working with multiple vendors and printers and ensure that all deadlines are met. Also responsible for marketing hospice services to physicians, long term care facility staff, hospital employees to secure professional relationships and build referral sources. Working within a team environment, I also help schedule, coordinate and plan luncheons, parties and community outreach activities. Other duties include photography, press release distribution, and fund-raising awareness.

Contributed an array of design work to independently and collaboratively craft custom logos, visual charts and graphs, location maps, layout page designs and newspaper sectional covers, which resulted in personally receiving six in-house awards: Best Visual Journalist (December 2006, July 2007, March 2008, June 2008); Best Web Contribution (June 2007, August 2007). Independently redesigned the newspaper’s technology information section, while helping to conceptualize and create a new weekly webisode on www.thetimes-tribune.com to increase web traffic, readership and community conversation. In both team and independent environments, mastered a variety of layout and visual communication skills in newspaper design including toning, colorizing, page layout, and the Unisys System.

Contributed to a diverse variety of business needs including research, concept creation and design, photo editing and pre-press work for large brochures, packaging, one–four color advertisements, billboards, stationary, and logos, as well as overall project management. Small, fast-paced advertising agency, my experiences included working alongside the organization’s owner to streamline company organization, work independently and in team environments, as well as communicate routinely with clients, vendors and printers.

Assisted in the design and development of poster, brochure and business card layouts, as well as with direct mail projects, package design and campaign ideas for a variety of clients. Contributed to multiple photo-shoots and was responsible for all photo post-processing work. Contributed to every aspect of design from concept through fruition in a small business setting, while working in both team environments and individually with a variety of clients.
