For the most part, these itineraries involved dining reservations at international Michelin Star restaurants; tickets to operas, concerts, conferences, musicals, etc.; and, compiling tour and unique experience options unique to each region our clients travel to. Once, of course, those experiences are arranged, they also need to be managed (eg. in the case of a follow up with a restaurant to confirm the reservation, or following up with a vendor to ensure a potential late delivery is averted), and executed. Effectiveness at this position requires every interpersonal skill a person can imagine: effective communication of content that has been winnowed into comprehensible pieces as required by the cognitive abilities of your pupils; being able to read a person's level of comprehension from non-verbal cues, maintain the attention of your class to keep them on point, evaluate their progress and output while making adjustments to compensate for the effects of their being human beings with ups, downs, personal lives, and stressors. These skills were employed both with adolescent pupils and my fellow teachers while I trained and supported them in developing literacy initiatives relevant to their subject matter while also measuring their competence around it against government teaching standards.In terms of measurable effectiveness at this role, my first year I was trained as a Newly Qualified Teacher to aid my adapting from Ontario Education Standards to British Education Standards; my second year I was promoted to Director of Literacy in addition to my previous duties; my third year, OFSTED rated Dixon's Kings as both an academy as a whole, and each individual teacher - I was rated the highest level possible: Outstanding.
