ResearcherProgram On Humanitarian Policy And Conflict Research At Harvard University Sep 2005 - Jun 2006As part of broad research project on the relationship between International Humanitarian Law (IHL), Islamic Law, and the Iraqi insurgency, studied the history of insurgency in the Middle East and the negotiation strategies used to increase the application of IHL during conflict. The relevant negotiation strategies were then applied to the Iraqi context, with HPCR publicizing the results. Presented findings the World Congress for Middle East Studies (WOCMES) in June 2006 in Amman, Jordan, entitled: “Lessons from Lebanon: Increasing the Application of IHL by Insurgent Groups in Conflict Areas.”
