Since 2020 I manage the CERN-Solid collaboration - Solid being the current project of Sir Tim Berners-Lee, the inventor of the World Wide Web. Since 2017 in CERN IT CDA group I chair the Documentation Project , looking into harmonising the IT documentation web sites and archives using Open Source Solutions.Since 2016 I initiated and run the CERN IT e-learning service, promoting the services with very short videos. Since 2016 I chair the CERN Academic Training Committee, of which I am a member since 2010.

As LHC Experiment supporter: Chairing the Middleware (MW) Readiness WG, meant to devise methods for new MW versions to enter operation smoothly, having been tested from within the experiment workflows. Registration agent for the Worldwide LHC Computing Grid (WLCG) catch-all CA. Develoment team member of the Global Grid User Support (GGUS).Co-chair of the WLCG Operations Coordination team.In the past, chair of the Tracking Tools Evolution Task Force for all tools used by WLCG operations, in particular for what concerns problem reporting and tracking. CERN IT Deputy Training Officer. In the 2009-2015 period, as CERN IT Training Officer: Share task with the cuSelecting and/or organising technical courses for the IT dept. members. Approving language, safety, management and communications' courses, in agreement with the IT management. Participating in the organisation's training strategy via dedicated bodies.As CERN Academic Training Committee chairperson: Suggest lecture themes for voting by the whole community in the laboratory. Find and invite lecturers and organise these lectures as a sponsor.As CERN IT e-learning project leader: giving CERN supporters the tools to promote features of their services via 5' videos and documentation pages on the web.Keen supporter of the http://cern.ch/arts programme, Maria is the main contact for computing issues' exploration by the artists in residence at CERN.

Based in IBM Athens, Greece, in collaboration with IBM Vienna, worked on a company-internal international project for Mediterranean and Middle East countries to move the product lifetime database from MVS to VM.
