The DREAM Project Fellowship at UC Irvine is a fellowship that provides academic and experiential learning, professional development, financial opportunities, and networking to undergraduate and graduate students regardless of immigration status. I hold a strong desire in combining my passion of serving for the underrepresented community I am a part of through seeking a purpose to assist and apply my business management skills in conjunction. As a DPF Coordinator it is my responsibility to collaborate with a team of 4 student coordinators that is focused on project management, building leadership, event planning, and relationship building skills. DPF Coordinators play a pivotal role in organizing and executing 2-3 core events per quarter at UC Irvine for DPF Fellows. By designing and planning projects for a cohort of around 80 students in this program, I plan budgets on Excel sheets, use technical programs and use my graphic design experience from my marketing internship to apply onto these projects.

With the purpose of promoting access basic needs to through community building and student empowerment the UCI Basic Needs Center provides emergency food and toiletries, provides opportunities to learn about wellness, and connects students to networks. As a Basic Needs Advocate, I hold two positions by assisting UCI students with their CalFresh applications to which I have assisted over 100+ students during my time here. Furthermore, I hold Financial Wellness Consultations where I advise students through 1-on-1 confidential consultation on financial topics such as: how to set financial goals, develop a budget, build an emergency fund, and understand credit & debt management (ex: student loans).

As a part of the Communications team at UCI's DREAM Center, my main role is to advertise and manage our social media page, collaborate on the center's newsletter, and design graphics through software programs. With passion for the DREAM Center's purpose, we advertise events that provide resources to our AB540 and DACA students. The DREAM Center strives to serve the needs of undocumented students. Through the DREAM Project Fellowship, undocumented students have access to participating in a year-long fellowship that prepares them to acquire professional development and strengthen soft/hard skills.

As a research assistant, I provided my skills to post-graduated students at UCI on their education-related projects. By working on quantitative data, I gained coding skills for research based purposes.
