María Guadalupe Arreguín, Professor of Early Childhood & Elementary Education, completed her doctoral degree in Bilingual Education at the Texas A&M University-Kingsville. Her publications explore issues of equity in culturally and linguistically diverse environments. Dr. Arreguín received her B.A. from the Universidad Autónoma de Nuevo León in Monterrey, Mexico and her M. Ed. from the University of Texas Pan-American in Edinburg, Texas. Dr. Arreguin has provided professional development to numerous school districts focusing on dual language education and the intersections between language and culture.Since 2021, Dr. Arreguin has introduced the Interdisciplinary Biliteracy Sequence, a three phase thematic approach, to numerous early childhood dual language educators.
