With an extensive clinical, referral, patient finance and outpatient services background, I am a Site Director Patient Access at WVU Medicine, where I manage the daily operations of the patient access department, including registration, scheduling, insurance verification, and prior authorization. I also collaborate with clinical and administrative staff to ensure optimal patient experience, quality, and safety. Previously, I was a Manager of Patient Access at the same organization, where I supervised a team of patient access representatives, implemented policies and procedures, and improved key performance indicators. Before joining WVU Medicine, I was a Property Manager at Freshwater Homes/York Terrace Apartments, where I oversaw the leasing, maintenance, and financial aspects of multiple properties. I have a Bachelor of Science in Respiratory Care Therapy from Indiana University of Pennsylvania. I am an RRT and practiced Respiratory Care for 10 years. I am skilled in prior authorization, Epic, customer service, and communication. My core competencies are leadership, problem-solving, and teamwork. I am passionate about providing excellent patient access services and enhancing the health care delivery system.
