This upcoming June I will be completing my residency in Advanced Education in General Dentistry and I will be relocating back to the DFW area. I am seeking employment as a general dentist and I am interested in working in a dental clinic that is patient centered and provides an environment that I can continue to grow in as a new dentist. I would love the opportunity to be considered for the position in your clinic. During the residency I have been able to sharpen hand skills, expand my knowledge of treatment planning, improve my communication with patients, and work on advanced cases I may not have otherwise been able to do outside of residency. To be specific, we spend about four hours a week going through new patients and treatment planning everything from routine crowns and fillings to planning for implants to full mouth rehabilitation cases. I have also done cases that involved tori removal, immediate dentures, socket preservation, anterior/premolar RCT, partials, and restoring implants. The residency has also provided me with the opportunity to collaborate with other dental specialists and the opportunity to work with children in our offsite rotation. By the end of the residency I will have completed over 100 hours of CE encompassing many different topics in general dentistry.With everything I have learned throughout dental school and my additional year of training I feel confident in my ability to care for patients of all demographics and backgrounds. I certainly do not know everything but I know I am well equipped to learn what I don’t know as I continue to grow as a clinician. My desire to properly diagnose and treat patients has shaped my values and style as a dentist. Over the past year I have treated a plethora of patients all with unique situations and circumstances and it has helped me remember why I choose to be a dentist. I believe I can be an asset to the clinic if the opportunity is available.
