Welcome to my profile! I am a Learning and Development Coordinator with Mattamy Homes. I graduate officially June 2024 from my Human Resources Management certificate with Sheridan Business College. I completed my BA and BEd with York University; achieving Golden Key Honour Society status, a LA&PS Writing Prize for my essay on Deaf Children and Youth, and graduating Cum Laude. I completed my courses with a 3.70 GPA in my studies with Sheridan for HRM. I have a passion for continuous professional development. My background in education has proven to have many transferrable skills for HR such as organization, time management, administration, performance evaluations, planning and most importantly leadership. In the classroom I differentiated instruction to match the needs of 20-120 students. I excelled in my ability to communicate with parents, coworkers, and administration to meet the needs of my students. Working with Peel District School Board I was able to celebrate and honour diversity and inclusion in the classroom. In 2022, I realized I had an interest in developing more of my business-sense and decided to pursue Human Resources. I took a leap leaving teaching for my certificate but I quickly loved exploring Human Resource Administration, Planning, Metrics, and Full Cycle Recruitment. My work with Mattamy Homes has allowed me to have work-life balance and approach unique challenges with my skillset and experience. I am so happy I took that leap!
