As an intern I worked on finding a geochemical signature to identify the different ash units seen in core sections in the Carlin formation. I also performed a rock fall analysis of the open pit slope using RocScience RocFall software. In addition, I participated in nearly all of the geotech group's activities and duties including monitoring, design, modelling, and intra-company interactions.

I helped keep the Groundwater Information Center database up to date. This includes entering data from well logs sent in by drillers, aquifer tests and inventory sheets done by other staff members, and other miscellaneous information that comes into our office. Included in this job is being accessible to the public. I answered phone calls and responded to questions that private individuals or drillers have or get them in touch with someone who can.
