Ever since I was a little kid I've always been an animal lover. I've always wondered what it would feel like to be around exotic animals and learn about them and their habitats. But I would also constantly see or hear about animals being abandoned or abused, and it really hurt me. That's why after I graduate high school, my goal is to attend my dream college, UC Davis, and major in animal science in hopes of one day becoming a Veterinarian. I want to be able to learn everything I can about every animal, how they function, and how they live in order for me to provide care to them when needed.

  As an intern at Operation Genesis, many other students and I worked with multiple police officers from around San Francisco as well as Skyline College who they had a partnership with and learned about STEM careers, how to build resumes, how to behave accordingly when in a place of business, etc. That summer, I strengthened important skills such as communication, organization, and problem solving.
