She is currently working on a graphic memoir about women, aging, and athleticism.*A former Stanford and pro basketball player, Mariah Burton Nelson is an award-winning author, speaker, and thought leader who has written books for Random House, Harcourt Brace, Harper San Francisco, and William Morrow — and articles for The New York Times, Newsweek, Newsday, Working Woman, Ms., Glamour, Redbook, Cosmopolitan, Shape, Self, USA Today, and other publications. She wrote columns for The Washington Post, Washington Business Journal, Knight-Ridder/Tribune, Women's Sports and Fitness, and Oxygen.com. One Stanford rebounding record was unbroken for 24 years.She has delivered keynote speeches for hundreds of college, corporate, association, and government audiences in 49 states. One AARP keynote appeared in Representative American Speeches.Nelson has appeared on Today, Good Morning America, PrimeTime Live, Dateline, Nightline, Donahue, Larry King Live, Crossfire, ABC World News Tonight, CBS Evening News, Geraldo Rivera, National Public Radio's Diane Rehm Show, Terry Gross Show, and myriad other TV and radio shows.
