No One Left Behind is the only nation-wide association of wartime allies in the US dedicated to ensuring that America keeps its promise to our interpreters from Iraq and Afghanistan. These brave men and women served right alongside US military and government personnel, and in many cases, directly saved American lives.The No One Left Behind Board is an all-volunteer organization working to support Special Immigrant Visa recipients (SIVs). We do this by providing resources to SIV Ambassadors living in SIV communities throughout the United States. Together with our Advisory Board, we work to advocate for our allies in front of the Executive and Legislative branches, provide subject matter expertise to the media, and partner with major US businesses to provide opportunities to this next generation of Americans.

Represents the Commander of Central Command (containing 19 countries in the Middle East and South/Central Asia) as the lead liaison office to the House and Senate Armed Services Committees, the Senate Foreign Relations Committee, and the House Foreign Affairs Committee. Acts as the principal point of contact for Members of Congress and staff on matters related to the CENTCOM area of responsibility.Gathers information and prepares strategy for effective engagements; organizes briefings and responds to requests for information from Members of Congress, their staff, and committee staff members. Prepares and supports CENTCOM leadership through the posture hearing process. Oversees legislative proposal development for inclusion into the National Defense Authorization Act.Facilitates congressional oversight travel for Members and staff. Writes all classified briefing and hearing summaries to provide CENTCOM Commander timely information.

Search & Employ®magazine is a print and digital magazine geared towards veteran employment. Every other month they publish a magazine that helps transitioning military, national guard and reserve members, and their spouses find jobs, opportunities, and continuing education. Each issue contains articles, guides, and exclusive industry information. As a contracted writer for the magazine I interview subjects, research industries, propose possible story topics and work with the editors to develop ideas and articles in line with the theme of each magazine.

Represents the Secretary of the Army and Chief of Staff of the Army as a liaison officer with the House and Senate Appropriations Subcommittees for Defense and MILCON/VA. Principal point of contact for Members of Congress and staff on matters concerning military personnel accounts, totaling over $57 billion for Base and Overseas Contingency Operations (OCO) funding. Provides an integral link between Congress and Army senior leaders to convey timely and accurate information concerning all Army requested resources to address Army priorities. Gathers information and prepares strategy for effective congressional engagements. Organizes briefings and responds to requests for information.Coordinates travel for Members and their staff for fact finding and education on Army programs.

The Army established the Soldier for Life (SFL) program in July 2012, when Veteran unemployment was high. The program enables Soldiers, retired Soldiers, Veterans and families to leave the Army service "career ready" and connect to an established network for employment, education and health resources. The SFL program office was aligned regionally and functionally with 4 regional directors across the U.S. (NE, SE, Central and West) and 3 functional directors: Education, Employment and Healthcare.In the summer of 2012, I was one of 13 officers hand-selected by the Vice Chief of Staff of the Army (4-Star) to envision, establish and execute the Soldier for Life Program from the grass roots level.To prepare for the launch and ensure continuity, our team created the first-of-its-kind strategy to:— Build a holistic program to address the complexities of Veteran transition— Create a national network to support the needs of Veterans and their families— Work with Congress to expand opportunities for Veteran employment, education, and healthcare— Encourage synergy between private & public partnerships to increase credentialing options— Increase awareness & appreciation of the “Value” of a Veteran
