The first season focuses on the story of the task force who spent 22 months of their lives finding the elusive DC serial arsonist in 2005. In my role, I booked interviews and supported research.

I was an Associate Producer on the podcast In Vogue: The 2000s. I supported scriptwriting, prepared for interviews, and sourced archival tape.

Jetpac is a non-profit focused on building American Muslim political infrastructure and ensuring fair representation for minorities in government. In my summer at Jetpac, I wrote copy for daily newsletters, emails, and digital platforms with a focus on development and fundraising. I also conducted national outreach with the American Muslim community and helped strengthen a network of supporters and donors. In addition, I designed graphics for social media and photographed staff and programs for promotional materials.

In my time at IINE, I worked closely with the development team to focus on grassroots development goals. I designed a new social media management procedure using Sprout Social, managed digital media across three platforms, and created content including blog posts, external resources, and graphics that brought complex statistical data to a general audience. A highlight of the internship was the opportunity to interview notable immigrant figures in the Boston community and write profiles that were used in online and published materials. In addition, I photographed a broad range of students and clients across various programs and classes at IINE’s three locations. The photographs continue to be used in promotional and marketing materials today. I also organised IINE’s historical documents and images and created a digital archive from over 100 years of organisational history. After working with IINE in summer 2018, I continued to volunteer with the organisation in the summer of 2019 by writing articles and photographing clients.
