CurrentAfter many years chasing the dream of a permanent National Park Service employee, I ran into a road block regarding timing of permanent status and the budget crisis. I worked for over a year as the Customer Service Manager at Moonflower Community Cooperative to make ends meet, but soon started to get an itch to exercise my brain more and take control of my life. After having my son and trying to continue working at the grocery store, I soon realized I was made of tougher stuff than that and quit. With a tiny amount of saved money I hired Legal Zoom to file the necessary paperwork to start Real Green Clean, LLC. I now make non-toxic cleaners, body care products, and clean houses and offices for a living. I attend craft shows, fairs, and maintain inventory in three stores in Moab. I do all the marketing and have learned to use Adobe Illustrator. I am also the accountant and all other shoes that need to be worn. I work hard, but the flexibility allows me to stay in time with my son's rhythms. I love what I do and love that my son can be the priority in life.
