As a Community Intern with Cardinal Group Management, at NxNW Apartment Complex, I work in the leasing office to assist residents with their day-to-day needs. I also conduct marketing and community outreach to encourage students to sign a lease at our property.

As a Youth Development Professional at the Boys and Girls Club of the Big Bend, I provided after-school services that work to assist youth in reaching their full potential as adults. We promote academic success, healthy lifestyles, and good character and citizenship. This role fulfilled a graduation requirement for my Human Development and Family Science major. I completed a total of 165 practicum hours at this organization.

As a policy apprentice at the American Children's Campaign, I conducted detailed analyses of the current legislative agenda in Florida. I looked at current bills and legislation relating to children's issues such as juvenile justice, human trafficking, pre-K education, etc., in order to advocate for Florida's children.

I worked under Professor Tyler McCreary at Florida State University on a project entitled "Can 8 Wait? A Review of Police Use of Force Policies in Florida" where we analyzed the Use of Force/Response to Resistance policies of all the police jurisdictions in Florida. Our goal was to identify 9 key items in each policy to provide recommendations in order to reduce the use of force incidents in Florida. We then presented this research at the Undergraduate Research Symposium.

As an intern for Resource Financial Services, I worked alongside a mortgage broker and assisted in daily tasks. This included communicating with clients regarding paperwork due, keeping an organized office space, and creating engaging marketing materials for events.

As a Play Area Attendant at Bailey's Gym, I worked within the daycare center available for the member's children. I maintained the safety of up to 20 children of various ages, created an engaging atmosphere to play in, and assisted with the daily cleaning of the gym.
