In January 2023 I started my PhD course in Physics at UniME (MIFT) in association with CNR-IMM and Eni Spa. In July 2022 I obtained the Qualification to the Profession of Chemist (Sez.A) at the University of Catania and I became a research fellow at CNR-IMM (HQ) from Catania. My role is the preparation of samples for TEM and STEM analysis and their characterization from the project GRATA. In March 2022 I got the Master of Science in Industry, Environment and Cultural Heritage Chemistry (LM-54) with 110/110 Cum Laude. During my M.Sc. internship, I was part of the research team PHOTOMIRNA under the supervision of Prof.ssa Annalinda Contino and co-supervision of Prof. Giuseppe Maccarrone, whit collaboration of Prof. Riccardo Reitano, Prof.ssa Maria Josè Lo Faro, Prof. Paolo Musumeci and Dott.ssa Maria Regina Chiechio (from DFA), and with the contribution of the Universitè de Rennes (France). In this period I studied and synthesized nanoparticles rare earth oxide for bio-imaging via upconversion, and i fell in love with nanocarriers, nanoparticles and nanomaterials. I got the Bachelor of Science in Chemistry (L-27). During my B.Sc. internship I did my thesis work the CNR-IC in Catania under the supervision of Doctor Francesco Bellia and the Prof.ssa Graziella Vecchio. In this period I studied the cholesterol inclusion systems by beta-CDs with the prospect of using them for the treatment of Niemann pick (type c) disease, and I learned the use of HPLC, centrifuges and MALDI-TOF. During my studies I learned the use of programs such as OriginLab, HyperChem, VegaZZ and ChemDraw, in addition to the Python programming language. I learned bibliographic research and i have learned to interpret TEM/SEM, and PL spectra. During the university years I have edited some scientific-informative blogs and written for small local newspapers. Away from the academic context, I have carried out various voluntary activities with national and local NGOs. Want to learn, adaptability, leadership, team working and resourcefulness are my quality. I always try to give the maximum and to harness all my skill and knowledge to achieve my goals,.Thanks also to the studies that I have undertaken I am able to learn and apply quickly the notions in a broad spectrum of contexts.
