This role is focused on meeting its statutory obligations under the Adult Guardianship Act to receivereports of suspected financial abuse, neglect and self-neglect of adults who are vulnerable and incapable of managing their finances. The SPG Coordinator receives all incoming referrals, concerns, inquiries, from both internal and external stakeholders to VCH and determines the type and urgency of the report received. All assessments of financial incapability are stewarded through the SPG Coordinator who reviews for legislated compliance and strict adherence to Ministry of Health directives on timelines and notifications of rights to the vulnerable adults and their close relatives.
